Finally I'm a 1-star kayaker (sounds so noob, lolx).
2nd day of kayaking course was great, even better thanx ytd bahx; in term of bonding with my dear OB peeps and also the course activities.
Morning went out of the house late, man, I really have to change this bad habit la, wake up early still late for meet-ups, haiyo XD Faster faster went LRT to CCK MRT to meet up with some of them, hoho, just now I went up then the MRT train door closes, ahhh, so 'lucky' huh, lol. I though I was the last to reach but eh, Sly came after that, lolx. Then Jocelyn, Derrick, Sly and me took the next train to Yew Tee to meet up with more OB peeps. =D I was quite happy for not being so 'left-out' (main cause of myself) today =D, I really have to speak up more man, if not I'm going to be a really boring person siaaaa. Oh man, din't know today is Fathers' Day, quickly smsed Kor Kor then he said he going out later, haix, "jia lat", Dad will be so disappointed with him bahx, I can't do anything also, I think what Dad wants is to have Kor Kor to be at home to celebrate with him; better if his galfren can join in too. Reached Sembawang and saw the rest of OBs, went to bread as we wanted to buy some bread for breakfast first, but, went to Mac again to buy breakfast as we decided to buy bread for lunch instead (save money lo, the food there really too ex ar, lolx). Bought Sausage Egg McMuffin Set with milk then went Bread store to buy 2 bread for lunch. Lolx, had a long time choosing what to buy eh, lolx. After that we went to the pick-up point to wait for the 'bus' to go SAFYC. Upon reaching there, the first half of us already got on the 'bus' and making their way to there liaox so we had to wait for the next one. While waiting, we stood there and ate our breakfast and chat a little. The uncle not really kind today eh? He don't allow us to squeeze into the 'bus' though there was still alot of places to sit (not seats but just empty spaces), quite bad bah, thus 3 of the guys have to sacrify to take taxi instead to SAFYC, thanx thanx worrr.
Reached SAFYC, made our way up to the room, put our things, apply my useless Sun Tan Lotion, lolx, changed into shoe and then head down to the grass patch. Had some introduction to the one-man kayak, man, I wanted to try that but really scared, lol. Roslita also taught us how to carry up a one-man kayak ourselves, she very the man and strong lo, lolx. Then, we split ourselves to those using Doubles and Singles Kayak, I took the Singles XD. Next, we helped to carry the Kayaks and paddles to the bench there to get ready to launch. Haiyo, I put my Kayak on the wrong side =.=", my bow was behind and stern was in-front, lolx, I din't realise that until I launch my Kayak and was putting was butt in the Kayak already, lol, how dumb, hahas. Got out and turned my Kayak, NO. 7, hahas, kkx, then got up to the Kayak and start rowing, yea yea yea~ Quite Shiok eh, hahas, because everything is under your control and you don't had to argue or tell your partner what to do; its all on your own, nice nice. Then, we practised our 360 degress turn, J-Draw and Classical Move. I found out that doing a J-Draw and Classical Move is much easier on Singles then Doubles, lolx, but I can't do my 360 degrees in 6 strokes or less T.T, never put in enough effort bahx >.<. After some rowing and a couple of Raft Ups, we went to Beach Up our Kayaks and had a lesson on T-X Rescue on One-man Kayak. Then, we were splited into 3 groups to have a hands-on on T-X Rescue. It was a good one, great experience, hahas, and I managed to have the chance to do Capsize again, woohooo, so fun, hahas, I think I managed to tap 3 times on both hands bahx, hmmm, but I know I stayed longer than ytd in the Kayak under the water, hehex. I swear I drank alot of sea water today, oh man, and it wasn't clean sea water, its soooooo dirty T.T. After trying out to be a Rescuer and Victim, I joined Hui Ting to slack, hahas, we hold-on to each other and lie on the water to sleep, letting our vest to keep us afloat and drift us to nowhere, hahas, so 'shuang'. We then kept waking up to change our location because we were drifting to the Kayaks and RUBBISH, lolx, so 'er xin' can, lolx. WE SAW DEAD FISH!!! Yeeeee, so disgusting la, Kim and I was like laughing like hell (for the fish was drifting to the others) and trying to run away from it, hahas. Then, after all of us had our hands-on, we went to carry our Kayaks to the grass patch and kept our paddles and vest, had our debrief and LUNCHTIME!
Went up room to get our breads and wallet. Eating and walking around to find the shop selling cup noodles, lolx 'pai seh', I din't know that it was so near to us yet we went quite far to look for it, lolx =X Queued up to buy our drink and cup noodle, hoho, so many people buying too so we waited quite awhile. Hahas, our intructor don't know why went in and became the staff there, doing the cashier and taking our orders =.=", hahas. Finally we got our noodles and drink and went out to the tanning chairs there to find the rest of the gals. I really ate alot man, lolx, cup noodles, one bread and also a chicken sasuage (took from the other bread, lol). I'm a pig, hahas. Kim so funny la, said what "arm-choi (hokkien, meaning laughing secretly) tio Breast cancer ar", lolx. They kept saying that, lolx, so funny. Yupx, so we invented another one " arm-choi tio Cock/Penis cancer ar", hahas, must aid to both sexes =.=""" XD More application of Sun Tan Lotion, lolx, I know it will help la, so sun de, my cute tan lines >.<, more and more people saw it, lolx, so cute ar, hahahs, weird weird seh, I MUST GET THEM OFF!!! >.<"
After lunch, we gathered in the classroom where we kept our bags, then, instructors briefed us on the short expedition that we would be going through. We had to kept together in the Charlie formation with 2 Tailmen behind, one Leader in-front, one Starboard(right) and one Port(left). We headed downstairs to the grass patch, carried our Kayaks to the beach. Yupx, I'm back to the Doubles because we had to take turns as they do not have enough Singles to accomodate all of us, back to partner with Yo Yo though Kim and Hui Ting wanted to change, think it was alright bahx ^-^. Had a lesson on the 'H' Rescue for the two-men Kayak and then some more moves and skills introducted by the intructors. Launched and yupx, Raft Up soon after that, chose the fellow people for the various positions for the expedition and we headed off. Great work, we were behind Ian (trip leader) all the while of the trip, oppx, we forgot that we were supposed to team with Kim and Hui Ting =X, so sorry, when we looked back to find them, they were too far back, so sorry =XXX. Yaya, that Sylvester, lolx, keep wanting to disturb people ar, hahas, that Jia Shan sat in-front of him so innocent, hahas, see la, you partner with this kid of person, hahas XP. Raft Up after we passed the 1st jetty but before we could go nearer to the 2nd jetty as many people were still far behind. While waiting, Rosita though us something that is useful, haha, "Sea Entry" and "Sea Exit", lolx, for emergency "release" while kayaking in the sea, hahaha. After that some people changed from Singles to Doubles as it was too tired for some Singles to carry on the journey, we were going against the current. Oh man, kind of hate Raft Up because it was difficult to hold on to the others Kayaks and my paddle at the same time, don't whether to lie back to the coaming anot; don't lie then so tired, lie then back so pain, haiyo; legs were also aching, too fat le la me, the cockpit too small, lolx. Then we headed back to 1st jetty, the white flag there. Raft Up, bla bla bla and practise some, hmm, don't know what move (forgotten the name), it was like using our back of the paddle to tap hard on the water to prevent us from Capsizing, yupx.
Beached up, wanted to practice Capsize drill again but was busy helping to carry the Kayaks back. Man, the Kayaks were so heavy with the water inside, I think I almost hurt my back cause I was using the wrong position to lift them up, back still hurts though. Finally, got all the Kayaks back to their original place, so exhuasted, rested, washed up abit and waited at grass patch for debrief. Went over to the two benched and debrief lesson was on the whiteboard =D. WE ALL PASS! Hehex, do 3-cheers for our 3 dear instructors and rushed to wash up.
All 'chiong' to toilet, lolx, I managed to get in =D, lolx =.=" "kiasu", lolx. Bathed the called PaPa, haix, actually wanted to rush home to at least accompany him to eat de but he already ate liaox, kind of sad and guilty, nvm, then waited for the others to go home together. Washed my shoes and dry my hair and went outside of toilet with Kim to wait for them. Aiyo, I don't know why I 'gana' sun burnt on my face so badly T.T, so red sia, but, other parts of body never really got burnt lo, so weird, must be those sleeping on the sea with Hui Ting that is the main cause, lolx, because our face was the only part exposed, but ar, she never 'gana' burnt leh, lolx, oh my oh my, red backside, lolx. Had some Cam-whoring, well, you can hardly see me taking my phone and mass taking photos of myself wor, today was just feeling so 'zi lian' lolx, kept taking and taking and taking but not nice one T.T. Took group photo together with the instructors, was pretty high, lolx. We made our way to the busstop. Chats along the way =D, waited for bus, boarded the bus. Hmm, we alighted before the MRT instead of after, walked to Sembawang MRT then took MRT to CCK. Alot went home as its Fathers' Day today. I think we were supposed to eat at Sun Plaza but because Derrick already tapped into the station, so we all went in too, haha. Met the rest and parted along the journey to CCK.
At CCK, we went 24 hrs CoffeeShop there, can't find any seats so we decided to 'ta bao' our dinner and went over to the nearby playground to eat, what a great experience, hahas. Some photo-taking and bondings with them: Ian, Shu Juan, Kim, Hui Ting, YoYo, Derrick, Hui Hong and me. Squeezing onto that purple rocking dinosaur, taking photos, climbing up and down, rocking hard (maybe only Ian and Shu Juan, haha), chats, lamings and yupx finally, make our move to go back home, a tired day for us but really a enjoyable day for me, I LOVE U ALL OB PEEPS =D. Yupx, while walking to CCK Int, YoYo saw her bus and climbed over the blockage and ran towards the bus, lolx, so in a hurry to go home, lolx. Then I sent the rest to MRT before parting with them cause I was the only one staying at walking distance to Lot 1, muahahahaha XD
Queued up at ATM there, wanted to take money but after queueing twice, decided not to, actually want take money to buy something for PaPa de, but I think nothing will be greater than his children to be at home to accompany him during Fathers' Day bahx, that Kor Kor arhhh, thanks for him huh, I got to listen to PaPa letting off all his frustrations, haiya, what to do, stop looking on the negative and dark side can, stop thinking that you are in the worst end and others are way much better can, I wanted to try to make you stop all those thinkings, but, I think now its getting out of hand liaox, I decided to give up for the moment, totally exhausted to work things out. Yupx, reached home and rested awhile. Chatted and going to sleep.
Haix, meetings are always not full house and I'm finding it more and more meaningless to go for it le, its getting nearer and nearer to Olympic Dreams and I bet we will be doing alot of last minute work again, GAMBATE ACE COMM! Haix, assignments and project yet to be done, hopefully can finish them before weekend bahx.
